Parents’ Ward reports that they are getting more and more calls from parents who suddenly find out that their teenage child thinks he or she is transgender, is on hormones, and is preparing for “transition.” In some cases, the child is already of age and already has a certificate from a commission of “specialists” for gender reassignment documents and surgical interventions.
These reports are associated with unusually aggressive behavior of children. It turned out that the “choice” of the child was formed under the influence of acquaintances whom the child met online or from someone in LGBT communities, against which parental organizations are fighting unsuccessfully. Psychologists and psychiatrists, to whom parents turn for help, take the side of “affirming the child’s identity.”
The alarming news is confirmed by Olga Bukhanovskaya: psychiatrist, sexologist, head doctor of the Phoenix clinic, assistant of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology of Rostov State Medical University.
“There is no concept of transgenderism in medicine. There is a concept of transsexualism. There’s a completely different symptomatology there. And behind what’s happening now–the propaganda of gender diversity, that there’s nothing wrong with gender reassignment–are special foundations and communities that give huge amounts of money to lobby for LGBT interests, trans festivals, online outreach to young people, and so on. The worldview of young people is formed under this influence,” says the doctor. “But we have to stay sane. We need strict censorship of this propaganda, we need to go to the legislative level.”
The Duma Council has already scheduled parliamentary hearings on draft laws banning propaganda of non-traditional sexual relationships in Russia for 29 September. Alexander Khinstein reported that a bill has been prepared to establish fines for propaganda, and that it has been approved by Roskomnadzor.
