Outrage is boiling over in Sweden after a transgender-identified pedophile, recently renamed “Vilma Andersson,” kidnapped and brutally murdered a young woman on Christmas Day as she headed home from reuniting with childhood friends near her family residence. The killer, who had served just 18 months for attempting to abduct a 10-year-old girl and hoarding 50,000 child pornography images, was caught red-handed dismembering the victim’s body and attempting to bury the parts in a forest—echoing the grisly 2019 murder of a 17-year-old girl also named Vilma Andersson.
Critics are slamming the Swedish justice system for its leniency, allowing this monster back on the streets after a slap-on-the-wrist sentence despite clear evidence of premeditated depravity. The predator’s 2019 kidnapping attempt was meticulously planned, with purchases of zip ties, duct tape, and a mask, plus chilling Google searches for “how to rape,” rape drugs, and methods to render victims unconscious—even delving into autopsies and chemicals.
In broad daylight, he dragged the young girl into his car, but she escaped by chance when she found the doors unlocked and flagged down help, thwarting what the court deemed a near-certain completion of the crime. Yet, despite the horrors, he was sentenced to only two years and four months for attempted kidnapping and child porn offenses, and released early in 2021 after serving just two-thirds of his time under Sweden’s soft-on-crime policy for “good behavior” in prison.
Post-release, the fiend legally changed his name multiple times, secured protected personal data from authorities, and adopted the female moniker “Vilma” to align with his transgender identity—possibly even switching his legal sex under Sweden’s 2024 law that makes gender changes a breeze for anyone. This could grant him access to a women’s prison if convicted, sparking fury over policies that prioritize offender rights over public safety and victim protection. As the nation reels from this holiday horror, calls are mounting for an overhaul of the system that let a proven pedophile roam free to strike again.
