I guess every era had its crises and its ills. But I must admit that my impression is that we are now standing on the edge of the abyss because we are immersed in an absolute denaturalization and dehumanization of the human being. And that leads to self-destruction.
As María Calvo says, today we are destroying everything we have built throughout history: we have eliminated reason and transcendence, that is, that which is proper to human beings and which has been the basis of civilization, and we have put in its place only feeling and instinct, calling it freedom.
Today everything is based and centered on instinct and desire, and is justified and based on feeling. Science and reason are sidelined, laws are dictated based on what I want, what I feel or how I feel, what I “perceive”, these are the neo-rights and any doubt that arises is an attack on freedom.
Everything that has been built since antiquity, everything that formed the basis of intellectual and therefore technological development, we have eliminated with the stroke of a pen. Reason, wisdom, philosophy… are not the basis of laws nor what gives meaning to politics.
And we have also eliminated faith, transcendence and with it the models and cultural advancement that Christianity implies. It is essential to eliminate God and put desire and feeling in his place.
Thus, the foundations of Western culture disappear. Greece and Rome disappear and so does Christianity. The models of heroes and saints disappear.
It is chaos, the void ready to be filled with a New World Order in which the otherness of the sexes disappears, masculinity is toxic and femininity is ignored. That is why Benedict XVI said that the crucial battle will be around the family, the father, the mother, the children united by love. Because the enemy of the New World Order is love and life.
