The U.S. Senate has given the final nod to a military spending package targeting “gender transitions” of military children. The new provision excludes taxpayer-subsidized coverage for such procedures. The fate of this approved package now lies in the hands of outgoing President Joe Biden, whose ultimate decision remains uncertain.
Earlier, the House of Representatives passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which restricts the military family insurance plan, TRICARE, from covering surgical or chemical gender reassignment procedures for minors. The Senate followed suit, despite the majority of Democrats backing the LGBT ideology.
Moreover, NDAA excluded funding to broaden the reach of embryo-destructive in vitro fertilization (IVF) for military personnel.
President Biden, despite being actively pro-LGBT, might likely sign the package considering its integral role in financing key federal operations.
Evidence suggests that endorsing gender confusion in children can pose notable concerns for their mental and emotional health. Research shows that over 80 percent of children grappling with gender dysphoria outgrow the condition by late adolescence. Many “detransitioners” report experiencing harm and neglect from a medical establishment biased towards “transitioning”.
