Big news. In the race for succession for the UK prime minister’s seat and the leadership of the British Conservative Party, after Boris Johnson’s announced resignation from both, polls revealed the most likely candidate: a woman, aged 49, educated perhaps in Catholic schools, a great sponsor of LGBT+ “rights,” very much opposed to “conversion therapies,” pro-abortion, married one year and divorced the next, reservist of the Royal Navy with the rank of acting lieutenant, former Secretary of State for International Development, former Secretary of State for Women and Equalities, former Secretary of State for Defence, and current Minister for Trade Policy: Penelope Mordaunt, known to all as Penny.
Where is the news? Above. She is a woman. A woman who knows what a woman is; who knows what a man is; who can define a woman, while the Church of England no longer can; who can define a man; who knows that there is an irreducible difference between a woman and a man. A woman, Penny Mordaunt, who says that a man who thinks he is a woman, or who gets parts of his body amputated, or others swollen, to believe and to make believe he is a woman remains in reality always and only a man, just as she says that a woman who similarly tampers with her body to believe and to make believe she is a man remains in reality always and only a woman. That is a woman, Penny, who is a champion of gender ideology and the of the act of eliminating an innocent baby from the maternal womb, and, in order to be so, does not believe that one should sabotage reality, the perception of reality, the understanding of reality, the telling and communication of reality.
In short, Penny Mordaunt is a little bit J.K. Rowling campaigning to succeed the resigning Johnson; that same Rowling the writer who is guilty of saying that women always remain women and men always remain men even if they disguise and manipulate themselves, Rowling who, for this reason, is the target of all sorts of abuse and threats, and lately that of the sinister ticking of a bomb.
The pro-abortion and all pro-LGBT+ Penny Mordaunt voted in favor of same-sex “marriage.” Her twin brother James is an avowed homosexual with a swagger who thinks the Conservatives, the party whose leadership his sister is running for, along with that of the whole country, are die-hard “homophobes.” But she has an incurable flaw: she is not stupid. And she says unforgivable things. She says that if you cut off a cat’s tail, that cat will always remain just a cat; that if you amputate a crow’s wings, that crow will always remain a crow; and that of course little Ellie is not at all a possum, like the twins Crash and Eddie, although she says she feels like a possum. In the Ice Age franchise, even the children see that if that thick-skinned mammal hangs herself upside down from the tree, hanging from her tail, the tree will crash, not able to hold her weight. And they see that Ellie then stops telling lies to herself, and accepts the fact that she is a female mammoth; she then goes off to marry a male mammoth, giving birth to many little male or female mammoths, and no possums.
Just like Penny Mordaunt did on July 13, stating the obvious: “A woman like me does not have a penis.” Or on March 1, 2021 in the House of Commons, saying the obvious: “Trans men are men and trans women are women.”Or July 10, stating the obvious: “I am a woman biologically a woman. If I have a hysterectomy or mastectomy, I am still a woman. And I am legally a woman. Some people born male and who have been through the gender recognition process are also legally female. That DOES NOT mean they are biological women, like me.”
Now, it seems that in the weary world we live in it is impossible to say that a cat with its tail cut off is a cat, that a crow with its wings amputated is a crow, and that Ellie does not become a possum just by saying so and wanting to become one.
In this world, where if one says donkeys fly, others repeat that; if a guy sees donkeys fly, then donkeys fly, and the press makes headlines out of it, to say instead that it is impossible that donkeys fly because they are not made to fly, as Penny Mordaunt does, could cost one the leadership of a major party and the seat of the prime minister of a major country. Because post-truth now sits immovably in government.
And please, someone tell the Italian daily la Repubblica that the awful, impossible neologism “defensora,” as a non-existent and unattested version of “difensore” (“defender”) is something that neither you nor your worst enemy deserve.
