Pippa Knight, 2015–2021

Haec accipiet benedictionem a Domino, et misericordiam a Deo salutari suae: quia haec est generatio quaerentium Dominum.

Little Pippa Knight (2015–2021), who was only 5, was killed by a court ruling that denied her life support.

Hers was one of those lives that our evolved, enlightened, democratic, progressive world deems unworthy of living. In short, the world has done her a favor by denying her those joys that even a difficult life such as hers obviously deserves.

It’s a filthy world we live in. Horrible and terrible. Baal devours and dances on tall piles of corpses. Bodies of children.

I was leisurely riding my bike as the news of Pippa’s sacrifice reached me. I’m a little embarrassed. But to her and to all the innocents sacrificed by this world of increasing infamy, which considers death to be in people’s “best interest”: to these little ones, I swear: I will never let my guard down. My opinion may not count, but nonetheless I’m not backing down.

And as a mere layman, I offer for Pippa this prayer.

Haec accipiet benedictionem a Domino, et misericordiam a Deo salutari suae: quia haec est generatio quaerentium Dominum.
