On 30 March 2019, the newly elected president of the Chamber of Deputies, Lorenzo Fontana, the third highest office in the state, and the then minister for the Family and Disabilities, spoke at XIII World Congress of Families in Verona. Because politics in defense of the natural family cannot be improvised: it is built with joint forces in politics and outside of politics.
And this, too, is both a good reminder and a good viaticum for the new government, which will have to care for the common good of Italians, starting with the non-negotiable principles. Especially in the face of the unbelievable and unjustified preconceived criticisms that are pouring in these hours against Fontana, who is guilty, very guilty of three nefarious crimes: being Catholic, being pro-natural family and being against gender ideology.
