Living in truth as the only way to resist totalitarian ideologies

We cannot and must not accept anything less than the truth of the world we live in. As Solzhenitsyn said, we must not live by the lies. Living in truth is the only way to resist the totalitarian ideologies that are being imposed on us.

We’re publishing the speech by Marija Stajić, coordinator of the Coalition for the Natural Family, as well as our co-editor and author, delivered at the round table discussion themed “Consequences of the Adoption of the Law on Gender Equality”, held on 17 June 2023 in the Serbian National Assembly, and organized by the Serbian movement Dveri.
Reader discretion is advised: the article contains explicit descriptions of the consequences of gender transition and sex change surgery.

At the beginning of 2021, when we learned about the three laws that were proposed (on gender equality, same-sex unions and amendments to the law on the prohibition of discrimination), we set up the informal Coalition for the Natural Family at the initiative of Dr. Miša Đurković. We launched a petition against these laws proposed by the then minister Gordana Čomić, which was initially supported by over 200 academicians, university professors, experts in various fields and public activists, and their number soon reached 300. The online petition has so far collected 9,111 signatures, of which some 8,000 in the initial momentum. We took part in several television shows and duels; to illustrate, I will only mention the appearance of Prof. Dr. Branislav Ristivojević, Prof. Zoran Čvorović, Dr. Vladimir Dimitrijević and the then MP Vladan Glišić. Many articles were published in the print and electronic media, and I think we at least managed to inform and inform the public and citizens somewhat, and warn them about what was to come.

Unfortunately, we know that two of the three laws were adopted by the National Assembly, and one of them is the topic of today’s round table discussion.

When talking about this law, those who support gender equality kept the emphasis on women’s rights, women’s visibility and the like, while we tried to explain that this would lead us to where the USA and the West are today, which is the madness of genderism and transgenderism. This is best illustrated with real life examples.

1) At the age of 12, Chloe Cole began to identify as transgender and started the so-called social transition. At the age of 13, she started taking puberty blockers and testosterone, at 15 she had a double mastectomy, and at the age of 16 she stopped the transition process, having realized that all this had left her with various unwanted emotional and physical consequences. Chloe had previously been a victim of sexual assault and was suffering from a number of traumatic consequences.

2) At the age of 16, after only three one-hour sessions at the Tavistock clinic, a British girl Keira Bell was prescribed puberty blockers; after a year she was prescribed testosterone; and at age 20 she had her breasts removed. Because of the testosterone, her voice has become rough, she has grown a beard and become more muscular. Five years after the transition, she began to detransition – return to her biological sex. Now she has to live with the knowledge that she may be infertile because of all the hormones, and even if she is able to give birth to a child, she will never be able to breastfeed; the nerves in her chest are damaged and she has no feeling in certain parts; her genitals have atrophied, her voice is permanently altered, and the facial hair will never completely disappear. Keira comes from a broken home, with an alcoholic mother and a disinterested and mostly absent father.

3) A British man Richie Heron was suicidal at the age of 24. He met transgender people online, and under their influence he started seeing a gender specialist. He reluctantly agreed to sex change surgery and repented it immediately after the procedure. Today he shares his experience to help others not make the same mistake. His testimony is poignant and explicit. I will read only one part.

“No one told me that the base area of your penis is left, it can’t be removed – meaning you’re left with a literal stump inside that twitches. When you take Testosterone and your libido returns, you wake up with morning wood, without the tree. I wish this was a joke. And if you do take testosterone after being post op, you run the risk of internal hair in the neo-vagina. Imagine dealing with internal hair growth after everything? What a choice… be healthy on Testosterone and a freak, or remain a sexless eunuch.

My sex drive died about 6 months on HRT and at the time I was glad to be rid of it, but now 10 years later, Im realising what im missing out on and what I won’t get back. Because even if i had a sex drive, my neo vagina is so narrow and small, i wouldn’t even be able to have sex if i wanted too. And when I do use a small dilator, I have random pockets of sensation that only seem to pick up pain, rather than pleasure.

I dream often that I have both sets of genitals, in the dream I’m distressed I have both, why both I think? In those moments of amnesia as I would wake, I would reach down to my crotch area expecting something that was there for 3 decades, and it’s not. My heart skips a beat, every single damn time. Then theres the act of going to the toilet. It takes me about 10 minutes to empty my bladder, it’s extremely slow, painful and because it dribbles no matter how much i relax, it will then just go all over that entire area, leaving me soaken. So after cleaning myself up, I will find moments later that my underwear is wet – no matter how much I wiped, it slowly drips out for the best part of an hour. I never knew at 35 I ran the risk like smelling like piss everywhere I went.”

Before all that, Richie had autism, panic attacks, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I’m mentioning these health details about all of them because it always turns out that no one is born with gender dysphoria and identity disorders, but rather than behind all that we find traumatic experiences or medical diagnoses. A 2020 study year found that while 5% of the general population has autism, the number goes up to 24% among gender non-conforming persons. Persons with different gender identities also have higher rates of schizophrenia, depression, and attention deficit disorder. The young people from the examples I mentioned needed a different kind of professional help, and not the lie that surgery that removes their healthy body parts will solve their psychological and mental problems.

Richie’s friends who also changed sex did not tell him about the consequences they experienced, he learned about them only after the surgery. He found out too late that a friend had a prolapse and a retrovaginal fistula, which means that there is an opening between the rectum and neovagina through which feces can pass. He found out late that many have lost all feeling in the genital area, that they are completely numb there, and can feel neither pain nor pleasure. Some of them are only 19-20 years old but their bone density is as in an 80-year-old because the hormones they are taking are demineralizing their bones. Many have autoimmune diseases as well as geriatric conditions, even though they are young. They are condemned to a lifelong dependence on cross-sex hormones which cause infertility, genital atrophy, osteoporosis, increased risk of heart attack, reduced cognitive abilities, and often the loss of ability to have sex after surgery.

Gender ideology poses a threat to common sense, science and human identity on multiple levels. We heard from language experts what the consequences are in that field, and we know how important language is for our cultural, national and spiritual identity, hence when speaking about that field of influence we cannot say it’s “just language”. The examples I mentioned show how this ideology, supported by the industry that in 2021 was estimated at 1.9 billion dollars, affects the psychological, mental and physical health of young people, leading them to perform irreversible changes on their body, deteriorating their general physical health, and having many other equally important complications.

While we fought against this law, we warned that the introduction of the concept of “gender” into our legal system, and through it into education, the media, science and the entire society, will open the door to the terrible consequences I spoke about. Now we learn that the logical consequence of the Law on Gender Equality is to be drafted, namely the law on gender identities, according to which they want to introduce gender self-identification, which means that it will be enough for someone to simply say how they identify in order to be issued new personal documents, which means that, as is happening in the Western countries as we speak, men will be able to enter women’s spaces (changing rooms, toilets, bedrooms on field trips), to beat women in women’s sports, to be given jobs and spots reserved for women based on certain quotas, and I have no doubt that here too, as in the USA, a young man will appear who will win the contest for Miss Serbia. If he starts hormone therapy before entering puberty, the boy will not develop larger muscular and skeletal system, his voice will not deepen, and with a little bit of the so-called feminizing operations, he will become a seemingly very beautiful woman, like Kataluna Enriquez, the young man who was crowned Miss Nevada last year, or Monroe Lace, the young man who is now Miss San Francisco and will compete in the Miss California pageant.

Not to mention the cruelest examples such as rapists and abusers who say they are transgender and are placed in a women’s prison, or the notorious example of MMA fighter Fallon Fox, who inflicted severe injuries on his opponent, including cracking her skull bones, only to be later named the bravest athlete in history. When a husband looks askance at his wife and she reports him, the whole machinery is immediately set in motion against him, but here we have a man who inflicts serious injuries to a woman and is then praised and celebrated just because he claims to be a woman.

We still have a chance to stop this gender madness, we are still not threatened with prison if we “misgender” someone – address them in the wrong gender. There is simply no compromise and no giving up in this fight. We cannot and must not agree to anything less than the truth of the world we live in. As Solzhenitsyn said, we must not live by the lies. Living in truth is the only way to resist the totalitarian ideologies that are being imposed on us.
