Emails reveal Biden administration’s collaboration with radical pro-abortion group

Newly released emails reveal that the Biden Justice Department and FBI collaborated with the National Abortion Federation (NAF) to target pro-life activists under the guise of enforcing federal law. The correspondence, obtained by the Functional Government Initiative, shows a “wonderful relationship” in which NAF helped shape investigations and coordinate legal action.

In a January 2023 message, NAF Security Manager Robert Ledogar reached out to DOJ leadership seeking a meeting and noted that NAF had already been involved in multiple Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) investigations, working alongside federal prosecutors and the FBI in states like Tennessee, Florida, Virginia, California, New York, Maryland, and North Carolina. He praised the “guidance” from DOJ officials as “superb” and cited specific attorneys in the Civil Rights Division with whom NAF had coordinated.

That partnership raises alarming questions about impartiality. Under Biden, peaceful pro-life demonstrators — including devout Christians and elderly individuals — have faced arrests, prosecutions, and even prison sentences under FACE enforcement. The evidence suggests that the DOJ was not merely enforcing the law neutrally, but granting a pro-abortion advocacy organization undue influence over which cases to bring and how.

One email exchange shows that DOJ leadership had no qualms meeting with NAF. Kristen Clarke (then Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights) was asked if the Criminal Section “had any concerns” about a meeting with Ledogar; a deputy in the Criminal Section replied that “CrimeSec has no concerns.” This dismissal underscores a troubling alignment between the Biden DOJ and abortion interests.

Under the Trump administration, by contrast, the Department of Justice declared it would limit FACE prosecutions to acts involving significant violence or property damage and pledged non-interference in pro-life advocacy. The newly revealed emails expose how, under Biden, federal power was used to suppress dissent rather than to apply the law fairly.
