For the past sixty years, the Democratic Party has been championing the destruction of the family and the idea that women do not need to marry to “lead a fulfilling life.” And their efforts have been having spectacular (actually truly tragic) success. Over 40% of babies are now born outside of marriage, 50% of marriages end in divorce, and fewer women than ever are getting married.

More importantly, however, these efforts are paying huge dividends at the ballot box for the Democrats. Indeed, single women are now the backbone of the Democratic Party. In CNN exit polls done in the recent midterm U.S. elections, single women voted 68% to 31% for the Democratic Party over the Republican Party—a whopping 37% advantage. Conversely, married women voted 56% to 42% for the Republican Party (a 14% advantage), married men voted 59% to 39% for the Republican Party (a 20% advantage), and even single men voted 52% to 45% for the Republican Party (a 7% advantage). Clearly, the more unmarried women there are, the more the Democrats will win on election day.

But why are unmarried women literally “wedded” to the Democratic Party? The Daily Wire writes:

“Studies suggest single women vote Democrat more often than married women because they depend on a single income, have feminist attitudes towards social issues like abortion and pre-marital sexual behavior, and agree with ideologies that redefine gender roles and family responsibilities.”

And the Democratic Partly is clearly aware of this. As social commentator Jayme Chandler Franklin writes:

“The Democrats’ radical abortion and LGBTQ agenda coupled with their negligent governance of our cities makes perfect sense when you realize the destruction of the nuclear family and dependence on government welfare keeps the Democratic Party in power.”

So there you have it. The Democratic Party is firmly committed to the destruction of the family because single women are much likely to vote for it than for the Republican Party. Indeed, if we had the stable family structure rates we had several decades ago, the Democratic Party would be thrown into the dustbin of history. Even though studies from the left, right and center show that women and children do best in a healthy married-parent family, the Democrats do not care. Sacrificing the well-being of women and children is a price the Democrats are willing to pay for victory.
