The Left repeatedly uses the mantra that it supports “tolerance,” welcomes “diversity,” and wants the “inclusion” of all groups. It always claims that conservatives and the Right want to shut down people supporting the radical LGBT agenda. In reality, however, nothing could be further from the truth. It is the woke who are intolerant. It is the woke who oppose diversity and inclusion. It is the woke who want to silence and cancel anyone who does not support the radical LGBT agenda 100%.
A look at just two articles today (April 27, 2022) on my news feed clearly bears this out. The first article was entitled, “Katherine Deves in ‘secret location’ after receiving death threats for transgender comments.” Deves, a Liberal (!) candidate for office in Australia, told the media:
“I have received death threats. I have had to have the police and the AFP [Australian Federal Police] involved. My safety has been threatened. My family are away out of Sydney because I don’t want them to witness what I’m going through nor do I want their safety put at risk.”
The second article was entitled “Harvard Cancels Feminist’s Talk Because She Supports Sports Competition Based on Biological Sex Not Gender Identity.” The Harvard staffer who canceled the speaker stated:
“On a more difficult note (especially for a Friday evening), I just looked up Devin Buckley [feminist speaker] so I could list the right title/affiliation on the application, and I noticed that she’s on the board of a trans-exclusionary radical feminist organization. I also found at least one piece of her writing online that explicitly denies the possibility of trans identity. I can’t ask for funding to invite a speaker who takes the public stance that trans people are dangerous or deceptive.”
In defending herself, Buckley declared:
“I have never written anything hateful towards any transgender individual. She [Harvard staffer] didn’t quote me once. She only made a number of spurious accusations. My articles basically claim that a human male cannot become female and saying you’re a woman doesn’t mean you are. I simply say women deserve fair play on sports teams, they deserve to not have men in their private spaces, to not have violent men in their prisons.”
So there you have it. If anyone dares to deny any aspect of the radical LGBT agenda, they will be silenced, possible even threatened with death. The woke mantra that the Right is trying to shut down people supporting the radical LGBT agenda is mere projection. Let’s hope that people are able to see through the hypocrisy of the woke and will fight to have the conservative viewpoint—the truth—be heard.
