On 16 February 2023, the transgender law and the extension of the abortion law were approved in the Spanish Congress of Deputies. With this, there is very little left standing in Spain. The destruction of male and female identity, the laws against men, against marriage and family, against freedom of education, the assault on democracy itself has wiped out what was left standing, even justice and truth have been swept away.

The laws passed on 16 February include such things as eliminating the three-day cooling-off period required of a woman who is going to have an abortion and giving her a sealed envelope with all the information and risks of the procedure, as well as introducing blacklists of pro-life doctors who refuse to perform abortions.

The trans law allows minors to change their sex from the age of 12, with the permission of a judge, all paid for by social security.

And all this conveniently promoted through education, another of the things that have been wiped out.

There is little left standing, of course. And sometimes hope also seems to waver. But God has already conquered, and we are on the right side of history, on the side of the victors, led by our victorious captain.

But the battle must be fought because there are many who fall along the way. We need to pray and fight.

Great saints will emerge who will straighten the course of history, great heroes capable of stepping forward, but also saints and anonymous heroes who keep the world standing, martyrs who shed blood or tears and those capable of “hoping against hope” and offering pain or work.

Evil continues to sweep away, but good also continues to build and sustain, so we must not lose hope or give up. Just keep building and sustaining. Without fear and without rest.
