A Senate hearing on legal concerns after Roe vs. Wade went sour during a heated exchange between Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) and UC Professor Khiara Bridges.
Senator Hawley asked a very simple question, “Professor Bridges, you’ve said several times; you’ve used a phrase; I just want to make sure I understand what you mean by it. You’ve referred to ‘people with a capacity for pregnancy.’ Would that be women?” While this may seem like an easily answered question, it is not so for the far-left academia.
Professor Bridges immediately attacked Senator Hawley, calling his line of questioning “transphobic” and laughing mockingly at his answers. She also claimed his questioning instigates violence against transgender people. Hawley, shaking his head in disbelief, said, “Wow, you’re saying that I’m opening up people to violence by asking whether or not women are the only folks who can have pregnancies?”
