Puerto Rico has delivered a strong blow to the radical gender agenda. On July 18, 2025, Governor Jenniffer González-Colón signed Senate Bill 350 into law. The law bans puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and mutilating surgeries for anyone under 21. At a time when lobbyists and activist groups push children toward irreversible medical interventions, Puerto Rico has chosen another path. Instead, it has decided to defend truth, protect youth, and stand against the lies of gender ideology.

Moreover, the law recognizes what common sense has always said. Children are not capable of making life-altering medical decisions. Therefore, Puerto Rico is rejecting this madness. It is affirming that minors deserve protection, not exploitation. It is also declaring that the state has a moral duty to shield young people from permanent harm. In addition, the penalties are strong to stop those who prey on children under the banner of “health care.” Doctors and clinics who break the law face up to 15 years in prison, fines of $50,000, and the loss of medical licenses.

Furthermore, this decision rests on firm constitutional and moral ground. The Supreme Court’s U.S. v. Skrmetti ruling confirmed that states have the right to restrict harmful transgender procedures for minors. In fact, states across America are moving in the same direction. At the same time, the Trump administration has already started cracking down on clinics that profit from children’s confusion. Thus, Puerto Rico’s law is not simply a local policy. Rather, it is part of a growing movement to expose and dismantle the medical establishment’s betrayal of young people.

Equally important, research shows that most children with gender dysphoria grow out of it if left alone. Yet activists want to trap them in a lifetime of drugs, surgeries, and regret. However, the people of Puerto Rico have finally said, “Enough.” They refuse to let children be victims of ideology.

In conclusion, this law is a victory for families. It is a victory for truth. Most of all, it is a victory for children who deserve protection from irreversible harm. Therefore, Puerto Rico’s bold action should inspire other states and nations to follow. The time has come to act with courage.
