We all know that Netflix is one of the wokest companies in the world. Among other things, it simply cannot do enough to promote the LGBT agenda on its shows. For example, just this year Netflix launched a podcast literally called “The Gay Agenda.” Here is how NBC News described it:
“Netflix has launched ‘The Gay Agenda,’ a new podcast that will look at the lives of LGBTQ creatives at the top of their fields across different industries. The goal, the streaming service says, is to be celebratory, championing success stories ‘through a loving and humorous lens.’
The podcast is created by lesbian actress, singer/songwriter and podcaster Jasmin Savoy Brown, who appears in the buzzy new hit “Yellowjackets” and the upcoming “Scream” reboot. She co-hosts the show with producer and nonbinary actor, comic and playwright Liv Hewson, a co-star on “Yellowjackets” where the pair play two teenage members of a soccer team who are stranded in the wilderness together, a turn of events that severely tests their romantic relationship.”
And this podcast is just the beginning of Netflix’s new push to increase LGBT content. As reported by Tubefilter:
“’With our first foray into the podcast space, Most [ LGBTQ+ social content brand of Netflix] is entering a new era,’ stated Netflix’s editorial and publishing manager for Most, Gabrielle Korn, ‘one where the gay agenda continues to expand into all corners of our audience’s lives, making it easier and more fun than ever to discover Netflix’s LGBTQ+ talent, titles, and storytelling.’”
Significantly, whenever Netflix takes over a local production (i.e., the production was initially produced without Netflix), Netflix immediately radicalizes it with the LGBT agenda. For example, when Netflix took over the hit series Money Heist (originally produced in Spain), it immediately added a transgender character to it. Likewise, when Netflix took over the Polish series The Mire, the wife of the protagonist suddenly becomes a lesbian who has an affair with a female colleague of her husband.
Netflix even advances the LGBT in its animated shows. In the article “Netflix and LGBT representation in animation,” Wikipedia states:
“Netflix has contributed substantially to LGBTQ representation in animation throughout the 2010s and 2020s, GLAAD described Netflix as a company taking ‘impressive strides in viewership and impact,’ when it came to LGBTQ representation. Examples of original Netflix animated series with a large presence of LGBTQ characters include Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.”
In regard to the She-Ra series, one LGBT commentator gushed:
“There’s gender equity, legitimate racial diversity, body diversity, a variety of gender presentations, and so much casual queerness I could hardly believe it. It’s timely (women joining forces to combat an evil, indoctrinated civilian army spreading terror across the land) and fun (horse turned “Horsey” turned talking unicorn), and VERY GAY….”
Pushing the LGBT agenda is not a new thing for Netflix. As the Digital Spy wrote in 2019:
“In fact, streaming services have led the way for a number of years now, counting more LGBTQ+ characters among their shows than all of the major US networks combined. However, GLAAD [radical LGBT group] recently reported that Netflix is home to more than any other, doubling the number of queer characters it streams in the past year alone.”
Importantly, Netflix’s pushing of the LGBT agenda is not going unnoticed. One commentator wrote:
“What really irritates me is that they rebooted a very good program (Roswell) apparently because it wasn’t ‘gay enough.’ A whole new cast and the same basic story arc except they changed the character “Liz” into the daughter of a Mexican illegal immigrant, and made several characters gay (including one of the extraterrestrials and a soldier in the US army) who in the original iteration absolutely hated one another. In the reboot however they made them lovers!!! Completely ruined the entire program just to get more gayness into it!!!I have gay friends. I am by no means homophobic. But Netflix!!! you have got to stop shoving this in our faces!!!!”
Another stated:
“I personally have no issue with the LGBTQ+ community. I happen to think they’re some really cool people, some of my friends associate with the community and they don’t shove that fact down my throat unlike Netflix. Here’s my issue: In recent years Netflix has included a number of homosexual characters in their originals; however, it is now becoming over the top. Constantly putting this into my face is becoming quite irritating. It makes it seem that being queer is commonplace while 4.5% of American adults identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community.”
Well, the chickens may finally be coming home to roost. On April 19, 2022, Netflix shares dropped more than 30% after the company announced that it lost 200,000 subscribers in the first three months of 2022 when analysts had predicted it would gain 2.5 million; indeed, this was the first time Netflix had lost subscribers in over ten years. More ominously, Netflix also announced that it expects to lose over two million more in the next three months.
Could Netflix’s support of the LGBT agenda and other woke causes have played a part in the company’s woes? The richest man in the world certainly thinks so. Upon learning of what happened to Netflix, Elon Musk tweeted:
“The woke mind virus is making Netflix unwatchable.”
(Musk also typed “yes” to the comment that the “woke mind virus is the biggest threat to the civilization” in the same Twitter thread.)
So there you have it. One of the most pro-lgbt and woke media companies in the world finally suffers a severe setback as it loses hundreds of thousands of customers in the first quarter of 2022 and expects to lose millions more in the next quarter. And the most successful businessman in the world blames the loss on the company’s support of the woke agenda. Let’s hope that Elon Musk is right and that more people leave Netflix over its support of the radical LGBT and other woke agendas.
