Enoch Burke, a previously arrested former teacher from Ireland, has been taken back into custody after returning to the secondary school where he used to work. This comes after his dismissal regarding his refusal to conform to LGBT gender pronouns. Burke previously ignored the standing court order barring him from school grounds, leading to his previous arrest and jail term for contempt of court in 2022.
Now in Mountjoy Prison, Burke’s case is set for review in mid-October. Despite warnings from authorities of further penalties, Burke returned to the school frequently since the start of term in August, continuing to openly oppose forced compliance to transgender ideology.
