The Spanish Christian Lawyers Foundation called out Irene Kahn, Rapporteur for Freedom of Opinion and Expression to the UN Office of Internal Oversight Services.
It stated that Kahn has violated the standards of conduct of the International Civil Service, approved by the UN last July, with the issuance of the report titled Promotion and Protection of the Right to Freedom of Opinion and Expression.
In this paper, Kahn calls on governments and social media management companies to impose limits on those who express more traditional views on marriage, abortion, sexuality and gender identity.
Christian Lawyers stated that, “Khan is advocating the limitation of the right to freedom of expression, which by reason of her position she is called to defend. It is therefore absolutely paradoxical that it is precisely the UN Special Rapporteur for Freedom of Opinion and Expression who issues such a report”.
It also recalled that “Khan was dismissed as secretary general of Amnesty International in 2008. It was under her leadership that Amnesty caused a scandal among some donors by joining the pro-abortion cause”.
The president of Christian Lawyers, Polonia Castellanos, assured that “Kahn’s report is another example of how the pro-abortion and gender lobbies pressure to put an end to speeches contrary to their interests. We cannot forget that this is a business that moves hundreds of millions of euros every year”.
