OnlyFans, the London-based site launched in 2016, boasts over 4 million creators and 305 million fans, raking in $6.6 billion annually. Fishback views it as “the future of porn,” preying on desperation amid cultural degradation. He dismisses claims of choice, citing “Stockholm syndrome” from Psychology 101: “If a victim believes it is their choice, it is not.”
Fishback’s stance echoes conservatives like JD Vance, who in 2021 called porn “objectively bad” for kids and society, urging bans for minors and parental controls. Modeled after sin taxes on cigarettes and alcohol, which reduced harmful behaviors, this proposal targets porn as a moral crisis eroding families.
