Equal but different and complementary

Denying the difference implies reducing the source of wealth. And it also involves creating disorientation in the youngest who are still in training.

From the moment of conception the female is XX and the male is XY.

And this implies many things on a biological level: different primary and secondary sexual characteristics, the non-cyclical hormonal-sexual nature of men versus the cyclical one with two distinct phases in each menstrual cycle of women.

But also differentiated psychological characteristics and a very different sexuality.

These differences do not imply any difference in rights. We are all equal before the law, at least in countries of Western culture.

We are equal in rights and dignity, but different, and in that difference lies complementarity.

Denying the difference implies reducing the source of wealth. And it also means creating disorientation in the youngest who are still in training.

Edith Stein, in a chapter dedicated to the professional training of women says:

“Wherever courage, intuition, empathy and accommodation are required, wherever it is a question of caring for the human being as a whole, of training him, of helping him, of helping him, of understanding him, or even of expressing his being, this is a field of action for purely feminine action; Therefore, in all educational and care professions, in all social work, in the sciences that deal with human beings and human action, in the arts that deal with the manifestation of the human being, also in business life, in state and municipal administration, to the extent that respect is necessary in contact with human beings and their care”.

This does not limit a woman’s professional life at all, it does not reduce it, it only enlightens it. It helps you understand that you have certain tendencies and abilities that you can develop more and better than others by nature. And in the same way it helps man to develop as a man and find his way.

Complementary at the professional, social and political levels and, to the same extent, complementary also at the family level. A father and a mother, both necessary as the two eyes of the face. It doesn’t matter. Each brings a vision that is partially different and complementary to the other.

Equal in rights and dignity, but different and, therefore, complementary. It is within this framework that boys and girls should be trained to recognize, value and strengthen their qualities and differences. It is, undoubtedly, a wealth that they are being forced to give up and that disorients and limits them, without going into the brutality and the crime of the lie of sex changes, transsexuality, etc., that would be enough for several more articles.
