The Spanish Foundation of Christian Lawyers presented a contentious-administrative appeal together with a request for precautionary measures to request the withdrawal of the guides “Las cosas del querer(se)” published by the Provincial Council of Valladolid.
The lawyers’ organization cited discrimination and said that they violate the principle of neutrality of public administrations as set forth in the Constitution.
Christian Lawyers further stated that the guides are loaded with radical feminist and gender ideology and that they recommend reading books that directly attack the Catholic view of women and the family.
They point, among others, to the book “Todo eso que no sé cómo explicarle a mi madre: (Poli)amor, sexo y feminismo” (“All the things I can’t explain to my mother: (Poly)amory, sex and feminism”), in which you can read things like: “Dear Virgin Mary, may I call you Mary, just like that? […] nobody calls me “my dear deflowered” when they pronounce my name” or “I remember the day when in high school the religion teacher explained to us the calendar method […] You, Mary, did not have to count the days because in theory you gave birth as a virgin, but, with all due respect, you missed the best part….
“The president of Christian Lawyers, Polonia Castellanos, stated that “it is inconceivable that precisely at this time when the country is going through so many difficulties, the Provincial Council of Valladolid wastes money on imposing its ideology.”
