New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has unveiled plans to open two new clinics dubbed “Elevate You,” specifically for young people aged 16 to 25, under the guise of providing behavioral health, primary care, and “reproductive care”—including abortions. Announced on February 9, 2026, these facilities will be housed at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull in North Brooklyn and NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens in Southeast Queens, backed by a $4 million infusion from MetroPlusHealth.
Pro-life advocates decry this as a taxpayer-funded push to normalize the destruction of innocent lives, prioritizing death over true support for mothers, families, and life-affirming alternatives. Mamdani’s broader agenda reeks of leftist extremism: During his campaign, he vowed to shield New Yorkers from pro-life pregnancy centers, branding them as purveyors of “false or deceptive information” about abortion.
He pledged to double funding for the city’s Abortion Access Hub and the New York Abortion Access Fund, while enforcing Local Law 17 to crack down on crisis pregnancy centers. This directly threatens groups like CompassCare, which operates NYC’s only three pro-life medical pregnancy centers, offering compassionate aid to women in crisis. Mamdani’s stance echoes New York Attorney General Letitia James—a pro-abortion zealot who endorsed his mayoral bid and is suing similar centers for alleged deception.
Such moves exemplify the radical left’s war on the unborn, embedding abortion into youth services amid ongoing challenges like state legislation, city ordinances, Big Tech censorship, and resurgent pro-abortion violence fueled by revolutionary rhetoric.
