Following a complaint by Christian Lawyers, the judiciary opened proceedings against the leader of the group of women “Yeguada Latinoamericana” who performed a semi-nude performance at the doors of several temples in the Spanish city of Cuenca, including the cathedral.
The Court of Instruction No. 3 of the town will investigate whether the activists committed a crime against religious feelings. The president of the Spanish Christian Lawyers Foundation, Polonia Castellanos, welcomes the decision. She assures that “all of these types of offensive acts against Catholics cannot go unpunished. We will ask for a sanction and for an investigation into where they received the financing to carry out this act.”
