By 13 votes to 7, they rejected the abortion bill.

After 10 months of battles, we have a pro-life victory in Quintana Roo. The vote on Tuesday, March 2, was 13 votes against and 7 in favor.

Last week the proposing deputy tried to circumvent the legislative procedure by ignoring the fact that the Constitution of Quintana Roo protects life from conception.

He did not succeed then, and neither have they succeeded now. And the pressure was really hard. Starting with the national leader of the ruling party Morena, Mario Delgado:

That is why it is especially relevant that three Morena congresswomen have opposed abortion. All three have been key to the success of pro-life organization Celeste and deserve recognition. These three women are Euterpe Alicia Gutiérrez Valasis, Paula Pech Vázquez and Linda Saray Cobos Castro. To them and to the other ten members who defended the Constitution and the most important right: thank you!

This success is crucial because of how iconic the battle had become for the feminist movement.

The most radical feminists took over Congress a few months ago in the style of the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

But the forces of law and order allowed them to stay there, instead of evicting them. Not only that, but the Congress signed an agreement to let them be and promised to process their abortion law as soon as possible. Unbelievable! In other words, they accepted blackmail.

Well, despite the blackmail, they lost. And this is very relevant because if they had won, they would have consecrated the path of violence and blackmail to achieve their bloody political objectives.

That is why this victory is so relevant for Quintana Roo, for Mexico and for the whole of Latin America. #MexicoEsProvida
