Every year, in early spring, we celebrate International Day of the Unborn. To be precise, it falls on March 25 and is a “day for life” that even iFamNews remembers with joy and participation. This year it perhaps seems less evident, due to the particularly difficult situation internationally.
Throughout Latin America, however, nascent life was celebrated, and today, a few days later, we are pleased to point it out.
For example, on its 20th anniversary Peru recalled the approval and publication of Law 27654, which celebrates this day and is based on Article 1 of the Constitution, which states that “the defense of the human person and respect for his dignity are the supreme end of society and the State.” Thousands of people marched through the streets of Lima, agreeing to emphasize the importance and value of nascent life.
Almost at the same time, Guatemala made clear its position: absolutely and completely pro-life.
