Over the past century, women have worked tirelessly to achieve equal rights and equal opportunities and to be recognized for the uniqueness they bring to humanity. From the right to vote and being treated equal to a man on the job to being celebrated as mothers and distinctive contributors to society, women have made tremendous strides over the past 100 years. However, all of this progress for women is now being lost due to the radical transgender movement.

Under the radical transgender movement, which has taken off like a rocket over the past decade, anyone can become a woman. If a biological male says he is a woman, according to transgender activists he in fact is a woman and no one can question that judgment. Indeed, to declare that a “woman” is a biological adult female is the height of intolerance and bigotry; to say this is to put you on par with Hitler.

This denigration of womanhood can be seen clearly in Hershey Chocolate’s campaign this year to celebrate “women” on International Women’s Day (March 8). To celebrate this day dedicated to women, Hershey has designed five new candy wrappers for its chocolate bars that feature women who represent the campaign. However, one of the five  wrappers features the picture of a confused man who thinks he is woman; that is, Hershey is promoting a biological male on a wrapper created to celebrate women.

Likewise across America and the West, leftist schoolboards, sports governing bodies, and governments are adopting policies and laws that allow confused biological males who think they are women to use female locker rooms, rest rooms, and showers and to play on female sports teams. Indeed, the NCAA recently allowed biological male Lia Thomas to compete on the University of Pennsylvania women’s swim team, where he dominated his female competitors and set several school and NCAA records. When Thomas had competed on the men’s swim team, however, he was merely a mediocre swimmer at best. And when a school board in northern Virginia adopted a policy allowing biological males to use female restrooms, a confused biological male “identifying” as a girl predictably raped a female in a girl’s restroom.

And anyone who dares to defend womanhood against this insanity—no matter how left they can be on other issues—is mercilessly attacked by the woke mob. Indeed, leftist author J. K Rowling of Harry Potter fame has been the target of unrelenting abuse and has been threatened with violence all because she stated that biological women are unique, while lesbian tennis legend Martina Navratilova has been pilloried by the left for saying only biological women should compete in women’s sports.

If we truly want to honor women on this International Women’s Day, let’s start by acknowledging that there truly is something unique and irreplaceable about biological women that no biological man can ever possess or truly understand. To do otherwise is to wipe out all the gains women have made over the past 100 years and to allow the left to reinstate misogyny in America and the West.
