Miss Italy bans biological males from beauty pageant; “only women since birth can compete”

Miss Italy, the popular beauty pageant in Italy, has announced that it will ban biological males from participating in the competition. Patrizia Mirigliani, who oversees the event, stated that “only women since birth” will be allowed to compete during her tenure. Mirigliani emphasized that other beauty contests that include biological male competitors do so for the sake of creating media buzz.

In a recent interview, Mirigliani expressed her belief that beauty contests should not succumb to the pressures of trans activism. She affirmed that Miss Italy will not engage in what she referred to as the “glittery bandwagon” of accommodating transgender participants. As long as Mirigliani is in charge, only biological women will be eligible to compete in the pageant.

Mirigliani explained that the notion of being a woman from birth has been a long-standing requirement in Miss Italy’s regulations. She highlighted the possibility of modifications to beauty and the potential for individuals to undergo gender transitions. Mirigliani also mentioned that Miss Italy has relaxed its criteria over the years by allowing women with tattoos, piercings, and hair extensions to participate. However, she emphasized the importance of not facilitating excessive enhancements, as excesses are not considered favorable.

This announcement from Miss Italy comes as the Netherlands recently crowned its first biological male as Miss Netherlands, who will then compete for the title of Miss Universe. Miss Italy’s decision affirms the undeniable truth that men cannot become women, and protects real women from the invasion of their spaces by mentally ill men.
