Melinda French Gates has announced her commitment to donate $1 billion over the next two years to promote what she labels as “women’s rights”. A major portion of these funds, however, will be channeled toward promoting abortion. This move comes after Gates has already been pushing for abortion on a global scale with her previous philanthropic ventures in the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The funds are planned to go toward various organizations, including the Center for Reproductive Rights and The 19th, among others. The Center for Reproductive Rights is a prominent pro-abortion group known for its fights against pro-life laws for several decades.
The latest donation comes on the back of a promise by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to pour in millions into radical pro-abortion campaigns. In 2024, an approved budget of $8.6 billion by the Gates Foundation will be an uptick from $8.3 billion in 2023 and $7 billion in 2022.
The Gates Foundation has also been a consistent donor to Planned Parenthood, providing more than $94 million since its inception, including $10.5 million in 2022 alone. The Gates foundation has also committed to support other pro-abortion organizations, including the European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual & Reproductive Rights and MSI Reproductive Choices, among others.
With her latest funding announcement, Gates aims to further her pro-abortion mission, projecting the initiative as a fight for women’s rights. She aims to place abortion advocacy at the forefront of her philanthropic work.
