Let’s give the transgender radicals what they want—the end of female sports

If only unisex teams and categories existed, there would hardly be a team with any females on it and hardly any females would ever win unisex sporting events.

Radical transgender activists have been arguing for years now that people should be able to play on the sports team of the sex they think they are. Thus, if a biological male who thinks he is a woman wants to compete on his university’s women’s swimming team, he should be able to. (This is what happened with “Lia” Thomas and the University of Pennsylvania women’s swim team.) Likewise, a biological male “identifying” as a woman who wants to compete in the female cycling category should be allowed to do so (as happened with cyclist Austin Killips).

To make things easier for transgender athletes to compete, and to be more inclusive, why don’t we just eliminate separate male and female sporting categories and just have one category where anyone—male, female, unsure, fluid, Klingon, etc.—can compete? Thus there would be only one unisex college swimming team, one unisex cycling category, one unisex soccer league, and the like. Isn’t this the fair thing to do to be more welcoming of people who “identify” as something other than their biological sex?

Were we to do this, the end of women’s sports would be upon us. Why? Because males are generally stronger, faster, and bigger than females; indeed, the male advantage in sports ranges from 10% to over 50% depending on the sport. In the swimming and cycling examples above, the biological males who identified as women totally dominated their female competitors, causing these females to lose out on trophies, scholarships, prize money, and endorsements. At the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, had the top female swimmer in the 100-meter freestyle event competed against men, she would have placed 55th while the top female marathoner would have placed 71st if she competed against men. Indeed, when the American national women’s soccer team—composed of the country’s best female soccer players—played an under 15-year-old boys soccer team in 2017, the boys won handily 5-2.

If only unisex teams and categories existed, there would hardly be a team with any females on it and hardly any females would ever win unisex sporting events. Females competing and winning in sports would be a thing of the past. Yet this is exactly where the transgender insanity of our woke elites is leading us to.

But is this what we want? Or do we want to have a fair system where players play against the like, males against males, females against females? This is the system we have used for thousands of years and it worked very well, producing just results. Or do we want a system where females never win or make a team, never make it to the podium or receive a sports scholarship? It is time for the adults in the room to speak up and shut down our woke elites before it is too late.

“The radical LGBT agenda must be defeated.”
