Giorgia Meloni warns: “Women are the first victims of gender ideology”

Italy’s leftist establishment is in meltdown over a bold initiative by Azione Studentesca, a student group tied to Giorgia Meloni’s Fratelli d’Italia party, to expose ideological bias in high school classrooms. Leaflets with a QR code link to a simple questionnaire asking if students have encountered “one or more left-wing teachers who spread propaganda during lessons,” allowing yes/no responses and anonymous examples without naming names.

The reaction from the left was hysterical, branding the effort a fascist throwback to Mussolini-era profiling of anti-fascists. Democratic Party president Francesco Boccia demanded Prime Minister Meloni denounce it as “questionable,” while a teachers’ union rolled out the “Schedateci tutti” (Register us all) campaign, urging educators to self-report in mock defiance.

This outrage reeks of leftist double standards: They cheer student activism when it aligns with their agenda but scream censorship when it challenges entrenched propaganda. Fratelli d’Italia MP Giovanni Donzelli fired back: “Students have the right to protest against teachers who propagandize instead of teaching, and the Left responds with violent censorship against young people in schools.” Azione Studentesca’s president dismissed profiling claims, stressing no personal data is collected. The move echoes France’s “Parents Vigilants,” linked to Éric Zemmour’s Reconquête, which gathers testimonies on woke overreach in education—also slammed as ideological witch hunts by unions.

In reality, this student pushback unmasks the left’s iron grip on academia, where radical ideologies masquerade as education, eroding free thought and traditional values. As Europe’s cultural battles intensify, initiatives like this empower youth to demand neutrality, countering the leftist monopoly that prioritizes indoctrination over impartiality.
