Is Soros Behind The Riots and Looting?

The shadowy network of groups funded by George Soros has the motive, means and opportunity to orchestrate the riots roiling America.

The killing of an unarmed black man, George Floyd, by a Minneapolis police officer was a tragic and deeply troubling situation. The world over has seen the recording of Mr. Floyd’s plaintiff plea as he lay on the ground, the officer’s knee on his neck. “I can’t breathe” will haunt us for a long time to come.

Understandably, the killing of Mr. Floyd sparked nationwide protests to speak out against the inexplicable circumstance of a man who was fully restrained, unarmed and posed no threat to anyone, yet forced into a position that ultimately took his life. How could such a thing happen?

While the protests over what happened to George Floyd are completely understandable, and highly appropriate, what they have morphed into is not. After eight days of rioting and looting in cities across America, what’s happening out on the streets has little if anything to do with George Floyd. It has to do with spreading mayhem, violence, fear and anarchy.

And there is a palpable sense by many observers that what’s happening on the streets is not merely impulsive displays of anger and uncontrolled fits of rage, but rather something that is being orchestrated, planned, funded and undertaken in a coordinated, organized fashion.

While I don’t have direct evidence to prove who is behind this situation, I can’t help but wonder if one or more of the groups funded by George Soros might be involved.

Soros funds many of the groups that support Black Lives Matter, which has played a leading role in organizing some of the protests. Yet even some Black Lives Matter leaders have been forced to admit that what’s happening now with the fomenting of violence and anarchy is indefensible and not of their doing.

The reports of organized anarchy – if there can be such a thing – are many. There are reports of pallets of bricks being delivered to cities across the country. The bricks have mysteriously ended up in the hands of protestors.  Police have found stashes of incendiary devices. Police officials report that teams of individuals are going from place to place in a deliberate, planned fashion. One member will break building windows; another will be in charge of graffiti; still others will go after the police. Then they will move on to another spot, often in a stolen car, leaving the gathered crowd behind to loot to their hearts content. Officials report a huge influx of stolen vehicles are flooding city streets. Lawyers are on call to bail out and then represent anyone who is arrested so that the scheme can continue unabated. Some have said that they have medical personnel standing by. Finally, officials in cities across the country continually report that many if not most of those who are protesting, “are not from here.”

Some conservative commentators and activists have claimed that Soros, through his Open Society Foundations network, has protestors directly on the payroll. That is unlikely. More likely is a subtler, much harder to track approach. Soros directs massive funding – over $30 billion to date — to the vast network of groups that he funds and/or controls. His network is active the world over, in more than 120 countries. He’s funded thousands of groups. Some of those groups could then use their funding to help organize and carry out the rioting, or they could farm it out to others.  None of this is publicly reportable.

Unfortunately, I’ve had more than one client or acquaintance be targeted by radical extremists simply because they expressed opinions on issues that run contrary to liberal orthodoxy, or because they are running for office with a sincere desire to protect public safety. They’ve been confronted – often violently so – by a mob of leftist radicals, including members of Antifa. Somebody organized the mob. Somebody paid for their signs. Somebody tipped off the media to cover their demonstrations.

Antifa and radical “trans” activists clash with Philadelphia Police and and throw smoke bombs in front of the “Free Speech Bus” co-sponsored by CitizenGO, the National Organization for Marriage, and the International Organization for the Family while it passed in front of City Hall on April 1, 2017.

What’s happening on the streets of America right now is reminiscent of what happens when migrant caravans magically form to storm the southern border of the United States, or where migrants suddenly materialize to go throughout Europe to settle in western countries.  It’s reminiscent of when throngs of activists “occupy” buildings or public squares – for weeks on end. It’s reminiscent of when massive “marches” to defend “reproductive health care” are organized in Washington DC or other major cities. Someone is behind those efforts picking up the tab. The logistics alone are daunting. Someone has to pay for the food and water, medical personnel, sanitation and transportation, not to mention the extensive work to publicize the efforts.

Attorney General William Barr is apparently looking into the series of events and points of commonality of the rioting and looting that continues to unfold across the country. Let’s hope that his investigators can get to the bottom of it, but doing so will be difficult. The network of groups that Soros funds or controls is able to move money around largely under the cover of darkness. They don’t have to publicly disclose their activities.

But we do know some things already. We know that the riots – just like migrant caravans, the women’s marches, the “occupy” movement and other massive so-called “spontaneous” events – all have a basis in liberal orthodoxy. They further the agenda of globalists, open border advocates, criminal justice reformers, pro-abortion zealots and “tax the rich” ideologues. These are all issues of great interest to George Soros and the groups he funds. George Soros has motive.

We know that pulling off these things takes great organizational skill, and significant money. George Soros has the means.

And we know that these riots developed very quickly, within hours of the legitimate protests beginning. To see that happen virtually overnight in city after city suggests that someone was waiting for an opportunity to spring into action. Perhaps George Soros had opportunity.

I don’t know for certain whether George Soros is behind the riots and the looting, but taking everything together, that is my bet. The situation has a definite Soros stench.
