In the recent past, LGBT activists used to conspire to go after people who held conservative political viewpoints with “glitter bombs.” The idea was to dump glitter on someone thought not to be 1000% supportive of the LGBT agenda, while having an ally record the event so fellow LGBT activists could virtually cheer the perpetrator on social media. Brian Brown, the founder and publisher of ifamnews.com himself was subjected to this sophomoric stunt at a pro-marriage rally in Providence, Rhode Island. It was the same rally where a threatening gay man approached his wife who had the couple’s youngest daughter in a stroller and said, “Is mommy raising a good little bigot?”
Tragically, LGBT activists have now advanced far past the sophomoric and merely mean. Many of them are now engaged in wicked, vile behavior to lure children into the transgender lifestyle, actively encouraging them to leave their families and join a “glitter family.”
The Internet is filled with transgender “glitter moms,” and with stories of how they are wreaking havoc on children and families. These are men who have decided to live as if they were women. Many have become radicalized in transgender ideology and become vicious toward people who question the science of someone really being ‘trapped in the wrong body.’
“Rachel” McKinnon is one such glitter mom. Born a man in Canada, apparently named Rhys, he decided to “transition” at the age of 29 after studying “the philosophy of lies” and “gender studies” in college and then receiving a Ph.D. McKinnon moved to the United States to become a professor at a South Carolina college, and took up the sport of cycling, deciding to compete against women. With the advantage of a male body – increased speed and strength, increased muscle mass, increased heart and lung capacity, more red blood cells, etc. – he quickly came to dominate females in cycling. In fact, McKinnon became the first so-called transgender world cycling champion, setting a world speed record in his Masters age class. McKinnon’s victory set off a great deal of criticism, including from prominent LGBT activist and former tennis champion Martina Navratilova, that it was unfair for a man to be able to compete against women. McKinnon harshly scorned Navratilova and all critics, including going so far as to express his happiness when a young woman who opposed gender ideology died from cancer. For some unknown reason, McKinnon now insists that he is named “Veronica Ivy.”
With that background in mind, you can appreciate how disturbing it is that McKinnon is presenting himself on the Internet as a loving, supportive “glitter mom” who encourages gender confused children to leave their families if they are anything less than totally supportive when a child declares that they are transgender and born in the wrong body. “I want you to know,” McKinnon has said online, “that it’s okay to walk away from unsupportive or disrespectful or even abusive parents. And I want to give you hope that you can find what we call your glitter family. Your queer family. We are out there. And the relationships we make in our glitter families are just as real, just as meaningful as our blood families.”
“Rachel” McKinnon (or “Veronica Ivy” as he now claims to be) is not the only “glitter mom” troll on the Internet, far from it. “Munroe” Bergdorf is another one, based in the United Kingdom. He is a man who declares himself to be a “trans woman” and has gained some notoriety as the first transgender model for a major cosmetics company in the UK, L’Oréal. Bergdorf, who has over 650,000 followers on social media, has invited all transgender children to private message him on Instagram, pledging “[I will] work to get you the help you deserve. You deserve to be happy.”
A grassroots organization that covers transgender issues, transgenderabuse.org, reports that “parents all over the world are losing emotional and physical custody to “glitter moms who… know what’s best for your child and you, momma, just aren’t it.”
