Former Disney actress Leigh-Allyn Baker, known for her role in Good Luck Charlie, recently spoke about her transition from being pro-choice to being pro-life during an interview on the Students for Life Speak Out podcast. Baker explained that she used to believe the media’s portrayal of abortion as something she would never personally choose, but felt that men in Washington, D.C. should not make decisions about women’s bodies. However, as she learned more about the process of abortion and the development of the unborn child, she changed her stance.

Baker acknowledged that she holds no judgment towards individuals who have had abortions and expressed compassion for them, including her friends who have made that choice. She emphasized that her belief in the rights and opportunities for both men and women does not mean that a man should have the right to harm a baby. She clarified that while men and women are not the same, they should have equal rights.

According to Baker, there is a need to counter pro-abortion propaganda in the media and Hollywood. She criticized the use of rare circumstances to justify all abortions and the accusation that pro-lifers lack compassion for pregnant women in challenging situations. Baker also stated that while some abortions may be deemed necessary due to circumstances such as rape or medical concerns, the majority of abortions are elective, and this truth should be shared.
