A newly obtained interim report from the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias—set up by the Trump administration—reveals disturbing patterns of discrimination against Christians under President Biden. The findings expose a government apparatus that frequently targeted believers with IRS referrals, public shaming, and even prosecutions—raising alarm that religious liberty was under direct assault.
The report details multiple instances of institutional harassment and viewpoint discrimination, describing how Christian employees and homeschool parents were subject to federal scrutiny simply for their faith-based convictions. One Minnesota hospital, for example, was allowed to force employees to participate in abortions against their conscience, a blatant violation of individual moral rights. Meanwhile, the State Department reportedly singled out Christian homeschool parents—referring them to the IRS and threatening them with criminal charges.
Perhaps most chilling is the use of public shaming by a powerful federal bureaucracy. The report notes federal agencies pressured Christian dissenters—such as those who opposed COVID mandates—into compromising their beliefs under threat of disciplinary action. This heavy-handed approach is an effort to suppress conservative religious voices across society.
Attorney General Pam Bondi, who helms the task force, has made clear that federal power should never again be weaponized against faith. She pledged the federal government will be held to account. A fully detailed report, complete with recommendations, is expected by February 2026.
