Failed abortion in New York abortion facility results in lifelong injuries for teenage mother and surviving baby

A tragic case has emerged from a New York abortion facility, where a 16-year-old girl who became pregnant by a 21-year-old man was given abortion pills. The abortion, however, failed, leaving both the mother and the baby with lifelong injuries. According to legal documents obtained by The Washington Stand, the girl had undergone two abortions at the Choices Women’s Medical Center in Queens.

The first abortion took place in 2017 when she was 15 years old and pregnant with her 20-year-old boyfriend. A year later, at the age of 16, she underwent her second abortion, this time at eight weeks of pregnancy. The facility noted the ages of both the girl and her boyfriend in the paperwork but stated that she was not pressured or forced to have sex. It is worth noting that the age of consent in New York is 17.

After taking the abortion pills at the facility and at home, the girl returned for a follow-up visit a month later. The staff informed her that she had tested positive for HIV/AIDS, which later turned out to be false, but did not confirm the completion of the abortion. It was only three months later that she discovered her preborn child had survived. In April, she gave birth to a baby with multiple birth defects, including hydrocephalus and severe brain injuries.

The girl has also suffered physically and emotionally as a result of the failed abortion. She described herself as “sick, sore, lame, and disabled” and stated that she sustained severe and permanent injuries to her head, body, and limbs. A Connecticut OB/GYN, who reviewed her medical record, confirmed that the abortion facility deviated from accepted medical practices and failed to inform the girl and her family adequately about the risks and alternatives of the drugs used.

This case highlights the devastating consequences of such medical errors and the revictimization of young girls by the abortion industry. Jim Harden, CEO of CompassCare, a pregnancy center organization, emphasized that the abortion industry not only harms women and destroys unborn children but also protects the abusers. Pro-abortion political extremists, like New York Governor Kathy Hochul, continue to shield the industry from accountability.

Instances like these highlight the evil of the abortion industry, as it is clear that the concern of the medical practicioners who gave this girl the pills was not for her well being, but for the monetary gain involved. The abortion industry failed this girl, as it does all women, and due to greed this girl and her child are leftr irrevocably scarred.
