Riccardo Simonetti, the European Union’s LGBTQ+ Goodwill Ambassador, has just decided to disgracefully mock the Virgin Mary, the Holy Family, and all Christians.
In the December issue of the German LGBT magazine Siegessaule Magazin, Simonetti appears in several Nativity photos dressed as the Virgin Mary. In one picture, Simonetti, who has a beard, is dressed as the Virgin Mary and is holding a newborn child. In a second photo, Simonetti, again dressed as the Virgin Mary and holding a newborn child, is being embraced by another man, dressed as Joseph, in a Nativity pose deliberately designed to present a homosexual version of the Holy Family. Significantly, the color of Joseph’s robe—pink—was specifically chosen because, along with the blue for Simonetti’s head veil and the white for his robe, it makes up the colors of the transgender flag.
As Simonetti proudly stated on Instagram: “If we ignore the fact that Jesus wasn’t white, we could as well believe the Virgin Mary had a beard, why not?… Special thanks to my friend @akwantu for playing Josef in our newly interpreted holy family photo using the trans Pride flag as Inspiration 🏳️⚧️❤️.”
Just what benefit Simonetti hoped to gain by mocking Christians during the Christmas season remains a mystery. And why the European Union would select such a radical provocateur as its LGBTQ+ Goodwill Ambassador is likewise a mystery.
Negative reactions to Simonetti’s provocation were swift in coming. One Hungarian commentator tweeted:

So there you have it. The European Union LGBTQ+ Goodwill Ambassador is deliberately and very publicly attacking Christians during this most sacred Christian season. And the European Union is doing nothing about it.
It is high time for Europeans—indeed, all Christians—to speak loudly and clearly that a person who blatantly mocks Christianity should not be allowed to represent the European Union; nor should this blasphemous representation be provided a platform in any polite society.
