The Trump Justice Department’s Weaponization Working Group has released a nearly 900-page report detailing how the Biden administration systematically used the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act as a political weapon against peaceful, religious pro-life activists — while actively shielding pro-abortion groups from accountability.

The report, compiled from a review of more than 700,000 internal DOJ records, reveals that Biden-era prosecutors collaborated directly with pro-abortion organizations, accepted dossiers with photos and personal information on pro-life activists who had not been charged with any crime, and tracked the travel plans of Christian demonstrators. Meanwhile, the Biden DOJ’s Reproductive Health Care Providers Task Force made no contact with pro-life pregnancy centers for months following a wave of firebombings and vandalism against those facilities — attacks that were largely ignored and downplayed by senior leadership.

The report also found that Biden prosecutors withheld evidence from defense counsel, attempted to screen jurors based on religious beliefs, and openly referred to Christian pro-life views as “culty” during courtroom proceedings. One group of prosecutors complained in writing about being assigned a Catholic magistrate who took First Amendment protections seriously. Average sentences sought for pro-life defendants ran more than double those pursued for pro-abortion offenders.

Among the most egregious examples: the Biden DOJ deployed 16 FBI agents to arrest Catholic father Mark Houck in front of his children — a case the government ultimately lost at trial, later settling a civil claim for misconduct.

In response, the Trump DOJ has now fired at least four of the prosecutors responsible, issued full pardons to pro-life Christians targeted in these prosecutions, and directed that FACE Act cases may only be pursued going forward in extraordinary circumstances. This is what accountability looks like. The Biden DOJ didn’t enforce the law — it weaponized it against Americans whose only crime was praying outside abortion clinics. The firings are a start, but the full scope of this abuse demands continued scrutiny.
