They cite the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy’s “Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights,” which calls for proactive equity assessments and bias review of data used in AI system development. They also highlight the National Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Strategic Plan, which emphasizes the need to fight harmful biases that can be present in AI systems.
The AAF argues that the Biden administration is relying on racially obsessed social academics and activists rather than scientific experts to shape technology policy. They express concern that this alignment between technology and a woke agenda could have far-reaching and troubling consequences.
The AAF’s research comes amid increasing discussions about the potential impact of AI on issues such as bias, discrimination, and disinformation. Critics warn that training AI to conform to a particular ideology or agenda can lead to misleading or false information being disseminated.
