A new abortion facility offering services at all stages of pregnancy has opened in Boulder, Colorado. The clinic — called RISE Collective — began scheduling appointments in October 2025, just six months after the retirement of late-term abortion provider Warren Hern.
According to its promotional materials, RISE Collective places no gestational limit on abortions and states that anyone needing one “for any reason … is right.” The clinic also claims to include within its team about 20% of the physicians in the U.S. who perform later-term abortions.
Colorado is one of a small number of states where abortion is legal at any point in pregnancy. Pro-life organizations say this makes Colorado a destination for abortions from states with more restricted laws.
Research shows that while the vast majority of abortions happen in the first trimester, thousands of abortions in the U.S. occur after 15 weeks of gestation and several thousand after 20 weeks.
