Boys: The forgotten ones in the education system

In recent months, the Women of the World platform has been placing great emphasis on the defense and promotion of masculinity, with its differential and complementary traits to femininity. But also in the denunciation of discrimination and criminalization of masculinity, for example, the slogans we used on the occasion of 8 March have been in this same sense, for example “En Femenino sí y en Masculino también” (In Feminine yes, and in Masculine too).

We find alarming what is happening in relation to men, to the clamorous discrimination that is on the rise, and that is also justified as a just revenge for past history and for the criminalization of which they are also victims.

One of the alarming elements is in the educational field. It is a worrying issue that almost nobody talks about and that goes sadly unnoticed: in Spain, and in the vast majority of Western countries, boys have a much lower school performance.

They systematically and steadily lead in school failure and have much less access to university. But no one cares, no one asks what is going on or what can be done. Only the girls’ education matters. Nobody raises their voice for the kids, it’s not politically correct.

Recently, the association Professionals for Ethics, a partner of our platform, published a clarifying report. It can be downloaded HERE.

They have also prepared a video, which may be easier for you to get a general idea and then go deeper. You can see it HERE.

And you will also find a lot of information – and training – in the book La masculinidad robada by María Calvo.

It is time that we also talk about men and that, among all of us, we defend and protect our children.
