Adult male counselors sleep in same cabins as pre-teen girls at a public school-sponsored science camp in California (where else?)

So you send your 5th-grade daughter who attends public school to a school-sponsored overnight science camp for four days. During the three nights the students will be spending at the camp, you naturally assume that the students will be sleeping in sex-segregated cabins; that is, girls (and female camp counselors) and boys (and male camp counselors) will not be sleeping in the same cabins. This is normal to assume, right? So you put your daughter on the school bus and don’t think about the sleeping arrangements anymore.  You focus instead on the wonderful time your daughter will have at the camp. We need more girls in science, you think, and are glad you sent your daughter on this trip.

However, once your daughter comes back from camp after a few days, she tells you that biological male camp counselors slept in the same cabins and used the same showers and bathrooms as her and the other female students. Your heart leaps out of your chest. How could this be? How could men be sleeping next to pre-teen girls in a confined cabin? What kind of world are we living in?

Well, you would be living in California, where this story actually took place.  In February, 5th grade students at Weaver Elementary School in Los Alamitos (just outside Los Angeles) took a four-day school science trip to Camp Pali in neighboring San Bernadino County. When the students returned from the trip, they told their parents that biological male counselors who identified as females slept in the same cabins and used the same showers and bathrooms as the girls. Parents immediately exploded. “No parent should feel the way I feel after knowing what could have happened to my daughter,” stated parent Suzy Johnson to KTLA 5 News in Los Angeles. “It’s awful that children had to even experience this in fifth-grade camp. If I was aware of it and I had initialed something saying this was going to be done at this outdoor science camp, I would have kept my children home.” Another parent stated: “I contacted the school and asked them if they were able to confirm that there was not a man actually sleeping in the same cabin as the girls. They were not able to confirm that.”

When the camp was questioned as to whether it actually allowed biological males to sleep with girls, a spokesman responded: “Per California law, we place staff in cabins they identify with.”

While the school district said it will look into the situation, I would not expect much to happen in the state that is the Disney World of Wokeism. You see, according to the woke (who dominate California), each person creates his own reality; whatever a person believes, no matter how outlandish, is the literal truth and everyone must play along with the charade. Indeed, the more outlandish and contrary-to-fact your claim is, the more virtuous you are according the woke. Thus, if a 5’6″ woman weighing 130 pounds believes she is a 5- pound cat, she is in fact a five pound cat. Likewise, if a biological man believes he is woman, he is in fact a woman, even if does not have a diagnosis of gender dysphoria (disconnect between one’s sex and one’s gender) and even if he retains his male anatomy. (There is only one exception to this rule: a white person may not identify as black. If a person does this, the woke will call him a bigot and a racist. Consistency has never been a virtue for the woke.) Thus, for the woke, if a biological male camp counselor says he is a woman, he is in fact a woman and can sleep in a cabin with pre-teen girls. He is a female, you know. If you think something is wrong with this, the woke will you call you a bigot and a transgenderphobe.

So there you have it. Parents innocently send their daughters to an overnight science camp and learn afterward that adult males slept in the same cabins and used the same showers and bathrooms as their girls. And the confused camp merely responds that it is “following the law.” If that is indeed the law, it is time for the trickle of people leaving California every year to turn into a flood. The leftist elites in California do not have the right to experiment on our children with the radical LGBT agenda. Period.
