The Chicago Bulls have waived guard Jaden Ivey following his public criticism of the NBA’s annual Pride Month celebration. Ivey described the league’s promotion of Pride Month as “unrighteousness” in a social media post, expressing his Christian faith.

BREAKING: The Chicago Bulls are waiving Jaden Ivey after he spoke out against the NBA for promoting 'Pride Month' and unrighteousness, according to ESPN.

Ivey recently announced that he was alive in Christ.

The 23-year-old player had been with the Bulls since being drafted in 2022. The team confirmed the waiver on March 26, 2026, stating that Ivey’s comments were “not consistent with the organization’s values of inclusion and respect.”

The swift decision to release Ivey highlights the growing pressure within professional sports to conform to progressive social causes. Such moves demonstrate an intolerance for any viewpoint that does not fully endorse LGBT ideology.

This incident adds to a series of cases in which athletes have faced professional consequences for expressing traditional views on marriage, sexuality, and family. The waiver is another example of corporate sports prioritizing ideological conformity over individual freedom of conscience.
