Dr. Eithan Haim, a physician who earlier this year blew the whistle on improper transgender procedures being carried out at Texas Children’s Hospital, has reportedly been indicted on federal charges. Haim, who expressed uncertainty about his specific charges, says he was approached by three armed agents who delivered the news of his indictment relating to alleged HIPAA violations.
Haim claims these violations stem from the period during which he was performing “gender-affirming” surgeries on minors at Texas Children’s Hospital, even while the hospital publicly announced it had ceased such procedures. He has staunchly defended his actions, dismissing any allegations of criminal conduct and insisting that he is being politically targeted.
In a public statement released on social media, Haim affirmed his resolve to fight the charges: “I refuse to back down or to be silenced. But to win, we enter the arena. For us, that’s federal court.”
Haim maintained it was his duty as a physician to bring this matter to the public’s attention, asserting his hope that future generations would not have to face similar controversies.
