Russia stands against LGBT ideology

The bill would also prohibit the "denial of family values and non-traditional sexual relationships".

A bill was introduced in the State Duma that would prohibit the dissemination of information containing propaganda of non-traditional relationships.

The text of the draft law says that, “Paragraph one of Article 4 of Federal Law No. 2124-1 of December 27, 1991 ‘On Mass Media’ … after the words “propagandizing pornography, the cult of violence and cruelty,” should also include the words “denial of family values and non-traditional sexual relationships.”

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin launched a poll on his TV Gamma channel that attracted a lot of attention on social networks, garnering 1.6 million votes, 70% of which were in favor of banning such propaganda.

This issue was also raised by Alexander Khinstein, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Counteraction to Corruption. As for the proposed measures, he wrote the following:

– to generally extend the ban on such propaganda without regard to the age of the audience (in offline, media, internet, social networks, as well as in online movie theaters);

– establish administrative responsibility for such propaganda by expanding Article 6.21 of the CAO (today it applies only to propaganda among minors);

– to establish a separate, even harsher liability for propaganda of pedophilia;

– prohibit the dissemination among children not only of propaganda, but also of any other information that demonstrates non-traditional sexual relationships and perversions.

Alexander Khinshtein also reported that the proposals have already been worked out by the IT Committee of the State Duma with Roskomnadzor and the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia.

In this regard, we would like to once again support the appeal formulated by the “Science for Truth” team: “Protect the scientific sovereignty and demographic security of Russia.”
