Rachel Levine, formerly Richard Levine, is a biological male. No one on the left, right, or center disagrees with this fact. Every one of his cells has the male XY sex chromosome pair; indeed, he has also even fathered two children with his former wife. Nonetheless, despite these facts, and despite never having been a woman and without the possibility of ever becoming a woman, Levine now claims he is, in fact, a woman. And our country’s radical elites that control the media, big business, big tech, Hollywood, academia, and the like, go along with the charade of treating Levine like a woman, using pronouns such as “she” and “her” to refer to him. Indeed, USA Today this year named Levine a “Woman of the Year.”
Significantly, defying reality by thinking he is a woman has not hampered—and probably has even helped—Levine in his rise in appointed political office as a Democrat. From 2017 to 2021 he served the Pennsylvania governor as the Secretary of the Department of Health. Then in 2021 he was tapped by President Biden to be the Assistant Secretary of Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and after a few months on the job Biden made him a four-star general in the U.S. Public Health Corps by Biden. (Not sure how a person who has never served in the military can become an admiral, but that is another story.)
Predictably, Levine is a supporter of the radical LGBT agenda. Just how radical he is can be seen in the interview he gave to National Public Radio that aired April, 29, 2022.
Levine starts off the interview by attacking states that have passed laws and taken administrative actions that stop the radical LGBT agenda in its tracks. For example, Alabama, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, Montana, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and West Virginia have passed laws that prohibit biological males from competing against females in sporting events, Texas has taken administrative action to prevent the medical transitioning of youth to the opposite sex, and Florida has passed a law that prevents the indoctrination of students as young as 5 in the radical LGBT agenda and issued guidance against affirming youth in the opposite sex. Levine states:
“One of the biggest messages I have at this time is really to speak about the challenges that the LGBTQI+ community face, particularly youth. The challenges come from very disturbing – and frankly discriminatory – laws and actions that many states are taking that are potentially dangerous, and costing the lives of young people.”
Of course, these states could not be trying to protect females by keeping the playing field even in sports or trying to protect children as young as five from being indoctrinated in radical ideologies. Or course they could not be trying to prevent minors, whose intelligence and reason are not fully developed, from making life-altering decisions. That could not be.
In regard to Texas, Levine says:
“Those egregious actions, one might say insidious actions, that are politically motivated and really harm trans and gender-diverse youth and their families – I take my feelings about that and I put it into my advocacy and our policy work to support trans youth and their families.”
Levine then attacks the Florida Surgeon General, who recently issued guidance, based on solid scientific research, recommending that youth not be affirmed socially or medically in their identification with the opposite sex. Levine declares:
“So when…the surgeon general of Florida puts out a statement based upon political considerations, that is not appropriate. We need to stand against that both from a medical and public health point of view.”
When asked about the research provided by the Florida Surgeon General that opposes gender-affirming care, he responded:
“I will disagree that there are many studies cited in the Florida statement – there are a few studies. I’ve looked at them. A lot of them say that we need more research. We agree. This is no different from any other medical field in which there’s a research base that might inform a standard of care for treatment of other conditions, whether that’s diabetes or hypothyroidism or other hormonal endocrine conditions – those change over time as the research changes.”
Notably, Levine does not say anything about a study cited by the Florida Surgeon General that found that 80% of people who identify as the opposite sex will return to identify with their biological sex or the fact that the renowned Swedish Karolinska Institute stopped the use of puberty blockers on minors due to the potentially irreversible harm they can cause.
Then in a bold-faced lie about the state of medical opinion, Levine declared:
“There is no argument among medical professionals – pediatricians, pediatric endocrinologists, adolescent medicine physicians, adolescent psychiatrists, psychologists, etc. – about the value and the importance of gender-affirming care.”
I guess Levine does not consider the Florida Surgeon, a medical doctor, as a “medical professional.” Indeed, Levine ignores the fact stated in the Florida guidelines that they:
“are consistent with the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services age requirement for surgical and non-surgical treatment. These guidelines are also in line with the guidance, reviews, and recommendations from Sweden, Finland, the United Kingdom, and France.”
In regard to other states considering bills opposing the radical LGBT agenda, Levine states:
“But we are seeing in many states…laws and actions which are discriminatory, politically motivated and they need to be fought against…I think that they’re all related in terms of their political motivation, and trying to stigmatize a vulnerable community — and particularly to stigmatize LGBTQ+ youth.”
After attacking states, Levine then turns to attacking individual people who oppose the radical LGBT agenda. Indeed, she claims they are ignorant buffoons:
“For some people, I think that these issues of gender identity are beyond their experience. They don’t understand it, and so they fear it, and that fear can lead to negative feelings and emotions…[Most people’s] experience might be that there is a simple binary of male and female, but it is actually much more complicated. There is sex. You might think that that is simple, but it is not…Then there’s gender. Gender is really that self-concept in terms of your gender that is also multidimensional…We want to educate people about those somewhat complex features and help them understand our rainbow family.”
Levine ends her interview by declaring that she will boldly advocate for the radical LGBT agenda in her high-level position:
“I understand the significance of my role to stand up and be counted as a very open and proud LGBTQ+ individual and openly transgender woman. And to use that to support more of our vulnerable LGBTQ+ community in all ways that I can.”
So there you have it. A man who “identifies” as a woman is using his power at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to advance a radical LGBT agenda that most people disagree with. And his radicalness clearly comes out in an interview with NPR. Let’s hope that in 2024 a Republican president will give Levine his walking papers.
