Part 2: Transgender “Glitter Moms” trolling internet, ruining children’s lives

The exploding trend on the Internet of “Glitter Moms” luring our children and grandchildren, as well as the incessant push for “gender ideology” must be confronted the world over.

In Part 1 of this article, we covered the emerging phenomenon of transgender “glitter moms” trolling the Internet soliciting gender confused children to leave their families and instead join “glitter families.” These are men who have decided to live as if they were women. Many have become radicalized in transgender ideology.

A grassroots organization that covers transgender issues, transgenderabuse.org, reports that “parents all over the world are losing emotional and physical custody to “glitter moms” who… know what’s best for your child and you, momma, just aren’t it.”

Among numerous other horrific examples, the organization reports on a California woman named Fay whose 16-year-old daughter suddenly announced via text message that she, along with four other girls she had befriended online, was transgender. Incredibly, Fay soon found herself confronted by her own resentful sister, who had never married and was childless, when she returned home one day. The sister, who had never cared for even a pet, was inside Fay’s house and declared that she was taking the daughter because Fay was “transphobic” and her daughter felt “unsafe” and was very likely to kill herself if she remained in the household. Fay was shocked to learn that her sister had purchased a “binder” (which tightly flattens a woman’s breasts to her chest wall) for her daughter and had been having secretive conversations with her behind Fay’s back. Fearing that her sister would set off an ugly chain of events with false allegations of abuse that might impact her other children, Fay let her daughter stay with her aunt “for a few days.” This turned out not to be temporary. The sister later had a “coming out” party for the girl, changed her name at school, and celebrated her “glitter daughter” all over social media.

Fay’s tragic experience with a daughter who got lured into transgenderism on the Internet and connected with other gender-confused girls is exactly the circumstance described by author Abigail Shrier in her best-selling book “Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters.” Shrier reports on an epidemic of young girls being lured into transgenderism. Like Fay’s daughter, these are girls who had never experienced any discomfort in their biological sex until they heard a coming-out story from a speaker at a school assembly or discovered the Internet community of trans “influencers.” Once these girls buy into the belief that they are transgender, they get pushed by “gender affirming” medical professionals and educators to pursue life-changing interventions – including medically unnecessary double mastectomies and puberty blockers that can cause permanent infertility.

Tragically, it is not just “glitter moms” and unscrupulous medical professionals who are pushing “gender ideology” that claims that a person’s true sex is determined by self-declared “gender identity” and not biology. It is an ideology pushed by powerful advocacy groups including those funded by leftist billionaire George Soros. Incredibly, President Joe Biden has joined with them, recently issuing an Executive Order interpreting US federal anti-discrimination law to mean that a person’s sex is determined by “gender identity.” Biden’s ruling will damage countless young girls who will be lured into transgenderism. It is already resulting in girls being forced to compete against men in athletics, losing out on potential college scholarships as well as the right to a fair competition on a level playing field against members of their own sex.

The exploding trend on the Internet of “Glitter Moms” luring our children and grandchildren, as well as the incessant push for “gender ideology” must be confronted the world over. The International Organization for the Family (IOF) and ifamnews.com are determined to do just that.
