Yesterday, September 28, two days before the start of the 14th World Congress of Families (WCF) in Mexico City, the Latin-American capital was the scene of a self-styled “feminist” demonstration in favor of decriminalizing abortion in the country.

The occasion for the march was International Safe Abortion Day, and already last year on the same occasion there had been numerous riots, provoked by protesters with a toll of 37 injured, including several police officers. Indeed, the images of law enforcement officers again this year in anti-riot gear tell you all you need to know about the nature of the protest.

iFamNews editor Marco Respinti, who is in Mexico City for the WCF, recorded some images, which were broadcast yesterday by Mexican TV station Meganoticias.
