Kohl’s next in line for massive boycott

LGBT products are becoming the downfall of corporations

Kohl’s, a prominent retail company, is experiencing backlash from shoppers upset about LGBTQ pride-themed apparel available for children and babies at the store. The items in question include onesies for infants aged between 3 to 9 months, which feature rainbows and the slogans “Love is love” and “Happy Pride”. Additionally, a variety pack of five baby pride-themed onesies, each with distinct LGBTQ slogans and designs, is also on sale. Other clothing items for children with pride themes include shirts stating “Ask Me My Pronouns” and “Be Proud”.

News about Kohl’s pride merchandise became widespread on social media over the weekend, leading to calls for a boycott of the retailer. This reaction has been likened to the backlash faced by Bud Light and Target in recent times due to their support for LGBTQ-themed products and campaigns.

Earlier this month, Target experienced a significant drop in its market value after launching pride-themed apparel for children, losing $9 billion within a week due to a consumer boycott. Despite attempts to remedy the situation by relocating their pride displays within the stores, the company’s stock continues to fall.

Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Bud Light, is still recovering from a boycott sparked by their marketing campaign celebrating Dylan Mulvaney, a trans-identified social media influencer, and their “365 Days of Girlhood”. This move resulted in a substantial boycott of the beer company’s products.

It remains unclear whether Kohl’s will face similar financial consequences as Target and Bud Light did due to their pride-themed apparel. The retail giant has not yet responded to the calls for a boycott.
