Archie’s parents continue to fight for his life

Archie Battersbee's mom won't give up: don't take away his life support!

Once more, the British High Court, this time in the person of Justice Anthony Hayden, a sadly know person, ruled that the life of Archie Battersbee, the 12-year-old who has been in a coma since April 7 after an accident in the family home, may come to an end. In fact, the judge authorized the removal of the respiratory support essential at this time to keep him alive.

The court delivered the ruling on July 15, after a lengthy hearing during which the family’s lawyers, strenuously convinced of the need to continue the treatment, faced off with those of the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, who leaned instead toward suspension.

An appeal against that decision is still possible for the parents, and even this morning, during a TV interview, Archie’s mom, Hollie Dance, spoke clearly: Archie needs more time, “we fight on,” we keep fighting, we don’t give up. For the real “best interest” of Archie, and others like him.
