Across the continent, Christians of every denomination are firmly opposed to attempts at ideological neo-colonialism:
In Nigeria, the Catholic bishops complain about the government’s favoring of violent Islamism; and the same is happening in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In Tanzania, evangelical Churches are protesting against the subtle and stubborn penetration of a “western” lifestyle that includes abortion, while the bishops of Kenya and Ethiopia have issued a document denouncing the invasiveness of gender ideology.
Meanwhile, the umpteenth attempt by some political forces present in the Malawi parliament to open the discussion on the liberalization of abortion has received yet another rebuff from the majority.
Life
France and Latvia have, in different ways, stopped discussion of introducing euthanasia.
The bishops of Mexico strongly reaffirmed the primacy of the defense of human life from conception.
In Canada, there has been a mass mobilization of citizens directly appealing to the national Parliament for the abolition of a recent law that expanded the scope of euthanasia.
In Ecuador, excellent pro-life and pro-family candidates have obtained promising electoral results.
And in the first round of Peru’s presidential election held on 11 April, Keiko Fujimori, who strongly opposes abortion and LGBT+ ideology, won enough votes to allow her to move on to a runoff election in May.

In Switzerland, after the approval of homosexual “marriage”, Catholics and Evangelicals collected signatures on a popular petition calling for a referendum to be held to repeal it.
With President Vladimir Putin’s signature to a series of constitutional amendments, Russia has formally banned same-sex “marriage.”
In the United States of America, there are at least 30 states in the process of banning transgenderism diktats in different forms.
And in the UK, the government has banned the removal of expressions deemed inappropriate from university teaching and debate. In support of Downing Street, the Anglican primate, Justin Welby, boldly described “cancel culture” as a “parasite that erodes freedom”.
