Abortion, eugenics and Down’s children

This is real human selection. We have those who are fit and useful for the state, and on the other hand, those who are useless, sick, and exterminated. It is exactly as it happened with eugenics in Nazi Germany. A real cruelty in which we are accomplices – if we keep silent.

Personally, I could never stop believing that abortion is a crime. Because it is not a matter of belief, but of evidence.

The problem is in this hyper-relativistic society where everyone is now saying: “That’s your belief, and I respect it, but I think differently.” Well, I have to say “No” to everyone, because we already know that there are super radical feminists out there. Instead of protecting the feminine, what they do is throw dirt on it, despise motherhood and impose their “beliefs” based on violence, intimidation, blackmail, mockery, deception, and so on.

But, as I said, abortion is a murder of an innocent, alive and happy unborn human being, snuggled up inside its mother.

The reasons that lead a woman to have an abortion are varied. They are usually excuses that could easily be refuted by offering adequate help in each situation. We have girls who are too young, women who already have more children and did not expect another one, women who think it’s not the right time for pregnancy because they are in full swing at work, women who have had a crazy night, but then came the surprise…

But we also have those who are told that their child (yes, their child) has a serious illness. In the face of such diagnosis, abortion is often recommended… That is, they’re told to get rid of their child.

There is also the so-called screening test, enabling the early detection of problems with the baby between 11 and 13 weeks of gestation. Trisomies (diseases caused by chromosomal changes), such as Down’s, Patau’s and Edwards’ syndrome, can thus be detected.

In the event that the percentage is higher than the average, the woman is advised to do another test: amniocentesis. It carries the risk of miscarriage of 0.5%, as well as the risk of complications caused by infections (between 1% and 2%).

Moreover, it is not even reliable, because there have been many instances when, after being warned that the child would have Down syndrome, the parents decided to continue the pregnancy, and once the baby was delivered, it turned out to be completely healthy.

I might add that this test is voluntary. I haven’t had it done in any of my 6 pregnancies. I take it for granted that if God gives me a child, it will be as He wishes it to be. And if it has Down syndrome… Well, welcome to my family! So, logically, if I don’t plan to have an abortion, why take this test?

Sadly, however, more and more people are deciding to abort these children.

I realize that it’s not easy to be faced with such a situation. Even more so in our well-off society, in the welfare state, where you have to have as few problems as possible and maximum pleasure. So a Down’s child is a problem for these people.

In my opinion, they are angels, with their difficulties, the suffering they entail, the inconveniences for all the members of the family… But there are many testimonies that confirm the enormous good that this child has brought to their lives.

Be that as it may, the reality is that the world is exterminating these children. We barely cross paths with a Down syndrome child.

The BBC News stated that 90% of British women whose fetuses are diagnosed with Down syndrome choose to have an abortion, which is legal up until the moment of birth. But pro-life activists say prospective parents are given outdated advice and encouraged to terminate the pregnancy.

Last year we were already warned that in Spain, the Down’s population dropped by 88%. There are 150 births per year, and according to forecasts for 2050, there will be none.

But this is a reality that affects everyone, the numbers are dropping alarmingly.

That’s what progressivism brings, a real human selection. We have those who are fit and useful for the state, and on the other hand, those who are useless, sick, and exterminated. It is exactly as it happened with eugenics in Nazi Germany.

A real cruelty in which we are accomplices – if we keep silent.
